Doing still.

During Manifestations in October 2018 at 'de Stokvishallen' in Breda, Netherlands I showed a performance in which I would simply exist on a pedestal. At the beginning of the day I metaphorically put my face on by applying make-up in front of a mirror in the middle of the space after which I would sit and be on the pedestal. People interacted with me as they would approach me to have small talk and bring me food and drinks.
I allowed people to do so as I wanted them to recognize that I am still a human being, doing nothing but 'being' an artwork; embodying an artwork. People's reaction towards me was far different than their reaction towards a regular artwork on a pedestal, which is what I find most interesting and valuable about this work.
